Module 3 – Water and Waste Water focuses on understanding the main water flows in the enterprise and associated wastewater streams and developing water efficiency and effluent reduction options and appraising these in both physical units (liter, m3, etc) as well as their monetary value.

Initially, participants of the RECP Programme will be provided much guidance and support. To provide those, various activities will be implemented in close contact with the RECP Clubs’ Facilitator and the club member SMEs. The club’s member SMEs will be trained using the different tools (presentations, templates, worksheets, etc.). At the end of the Programme period, the trainees will be able to develop an RECP action plan and implement it as a result of full-scale RECP assessment by themselves.

The training participants are representatives of local Municipalities hosting the Clubs and the club member SMEs. The Club meetings are prepared with support of  National Implementing partner (NIP) the Energy Efficiency Centre of Georgia (EECG) leading the training and conducted by the national RECP Clubs’ facilitator who is an expert on RECP.

RECP training and coaching programme aims to build awareness of its trainees on the principles of the RECP methodology. The RECP programme shall consist of a set of training sessions and coaching activities that will develop RECP capacities among Georgian professionals and demonstrate its benefits at selected production companies.

The training programme will give the participants the required capacity to develop their practical In-plant Assessment Reports for RECP projects, developed as a part of the interactive RECP training programme as well as for new projects in the future.

The participants will learn:

  • What is RECP
  • How to assess efficiency of production processes and identify opportunity areas
  • Good RECP practices – energy efficiency, water and material management
  • RECP projects development
  • Business planning and obtaining financing

Module 1 – Business Environmental Profile focuses on the enterprise’s technical processes and provides an introduction and capstone respectively. It is focused on management and information systems. Particularly, it unites the following issues: profiling of the enterprise with a particular focus on identifying resource uses and environmental impacts and appraising these in both physical units (tons, kWh, etc) as well as their monetary value (input costs and non-product output costs).

Initially, participants of the RECP Programme will be provided much guidance and support. To provide those, various activities will be implemented in close contact with the RECP Clubs’ Facilitator and the club member SMEs. The club’s member SMEs will be trained using the different tools (presentations, templates, worksheets, etc.). The training has been organized organized by the National Implementing partner (NIP) the Energy Efficiency Centre of Georgia (EECG) and  was led by the national RECP Clubs’ facilitator – RECP Expert Mr. Nikoloz Javshanashvili, PhD.

Considering the pandemic period and restrictions of face to face meetings/workshops by the Georgian Government to prevent the spread of the virus, the  RECP Clubs’ training was conducted through Zoom platform in Georgian.

The training was attended by Mrs. Tatiana Chernyavskaya, International Project Coordinator of EU4Environment Programme, National Focal Point, Mr. David Advadze, National Action Coordinator   Mr. Malkhaz Adeishvili, Mr. Georgi Abulashvili RECP National Coordinator , Ms. Liana Garibashvili, RECP National coordinator’s Assistant . The RECP training  participated by the representative of the municipality – Mr. Geronti Sivisvadze and Mr. Mamuka Lomsadze.

Initial training of national experts in Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECP) methods will be organized on 21 December. The training will provided by international expert Mr. Sergei Faschevsky, Senior consultant, projects for Energy, Environment and Climate Mitigation.

Thirteen national trainees and  twelve representative from demo companies will participated in the training. They will be  introduced to initial 2 modules of the RECP methodology:
