Call for companies

The UNIDO RECP Demonstration Component of the EaP GREEN Programme in Georgia is calling for expressions of interest from enterprises in the food and agroprocessing, construction and/or chemical materials sectors to participate in the demonstration programme on Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production.

The RECP Demonstration Project started a demonstration programme in April 2015. Demonstration companies will benefit from undertaking a RECP assessment as cost-saving opportunities that reduce materials and energy consumption and/or minimize the generation of waste and emissions will be identified and promoted. Demonstration companies are expected to collaborate with the RECP Demonstration Component Project and its national experts and to be willing to disclose and share the results and achievements obtained from implementation of RECP opportunities identified through the Demonstration Component Project. The RECP Demonstration Component Project is implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in partnership with the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Economy with funding support from the European Commission, Governments of Austria and Slovenia. The RECP Demonstration Component is aimed at fostering the uptake of Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production methods, practices, technologies and policies, through capacity building, industry demonstrations and policy support. RECP assessment is based on the application of preventive environmental management and total productivity concepts to manufacturing and other sectors, in order to achieve efficient use of natural resources (materials, water and energy), minimization of the generation of wastes and emissions and reduction of chemical and industrial risks (www.unido.org/cp).
